Many people have harmless skin lesions that would like to have them removed for cosmetic purposes – for example, excision of benign moles or removal of cysts. I offer the safest surgical approach with the best cosmetic result.
Psoriasis is a common skin disease affecting 1 in 50 people, it occurs equally in men and women and may come and go throughout life. It does not only affect the skin, but also the nails and the joints. Patients with psoriasis are at increased risk of having heart problems, metabolic syndrome, depression, cancer, and other diseases. During my Ph.D., I spent 4 years investigating the pathogenesis of this disease which still remains unclear and I have contributed to new potential treatment options. Although it is a long-term condition, there are many treatments available to keep psoriasis under good control and ease your life by milder the symptoms. Based on the severity of psoriasis and each patient’s needs, I personalize every treatment from topicals to systemic medication or injections.
Acne is one of the most famous skin conditions. It is thought to be associated with adolescence but nowadays we know that even older people suffer from it. Many of these patients have been psychologically affected and interestingly studies have shown that the levels of depression can be as high as in patients with internal organ cancers. I have suffered myself in the past from severe acne, so I understand how patients feel. The individualization of treatment based on each patient’s needs is my approach, based always on international guidelines.
Eczema or else known as Atopic Dermatitis is a common clinical skin condition which equally affects both genders, can occur at any age and it is estimated that approximately 1 in 5 children are affected. Eczema is described by itchy, dry, flaky, red skin and can develop on any part of the body, with many cases being recorded at the creases of joints (elbows, knees, wrists/hands).
