Keep in touch!
I have spent the last 10 years of my career to collaborate with world hair experts in Europe and the USA and I can offer a diagnosis of complex cases and personalised treatment based on each patient’s needs.
Are you concerned that you’re losing your hair or becoming bald?
Have you already tried a variety of remedies, shampoos, foams, diets or supplements, but it’s not helping?
Maybe you’ve been to you GP, but they’ve not been able to help you?
I treat many patients who have hair loss, to help them regain their confidence.
You may have heard of some of these diagnoses:
Also known as androgenetic alopecia in men, or female pattern hair loss in women
Bald patches on the head, beard or the body
Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia
Receding of the hairline, and sometimes loss of eyebrows
This is a dramatic hair loss that can be triggered by many causes, but thankfully will usually recover very well
When I meet patients with hair loss, I take a really detailed history. Then I examine the scalp carefully, using an instrument called a dermatoscope to get a ready good, close up look, so I can see exactly what’s going on.
I will usually take a photograph as a visual record, so I can determine progress of any treatments.
Usually I will be able to make a diagnosis there and then, but sometimes, extra tests are needed to clarify the cause of the problem. These might be blood tests, or a very small ‘punch biopsy’ from the scalp.
Through this process, I determine exactly what the problem is that’s causing your hair loss, and then recommend a proper treatment plan.
The treatments may include a topical treatment (this might be a prescribed lotion or ointment), and sometimes I may prescribe oral medications, or carry out injection treatment. Once a patient has started on treatment, I will follow up with them every three months, and I’ll optimise their treatment according to their progress.
My patients feel happy, less stressed, and they tell me that the treatment has improved their quality of life.
